Alumina

Parts with high alumina content produced by Apceram are used in applications requiring extreme hardness, high abrasion resistance, good thermal stability, good electrical insulating properties, thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.

92% Alumina is preferably used for the manufacture of wear components.

Aluminas of 96 - 98% serve a wide range of applications. The components made from these grades have a large thermal and chemical stability, good thermal shock resistance and excellent surface finish. This makes them the favorite for the manufacture of many pieces of machinery. In addition, these products also have low electrical conductivity and dielectric loss making them suitable for the manufacture of components for electrical and electronic engineering.

Grade of 99% meet the highest demands in terms of bending strength and hardness, thermal shock resistance and resistance to corrosion by acids and bases.
